"Within a week, the Salle Pleyel is preparing to host three of the most prestigious U.S. Orchestras. A rare event, this veritable "invasion" of orchestras from across the Atlantic is definitely the place to be.

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra will open the show on September 2, under the baton of Riccardo Muti, and will do wonders in a program devoted to Strauss and Shostakovich.
Then, the Pittsburgh Orchestra, from a city known for its steel industry but also ... for its symphony orchestra! Following on after legendary conductors such as Lorin Maazel and Mariss Jansons, the Austrian Manfred Honeck (the music director of the Pittsburgh Symphony) presents the remarkable Fourth Piano Concerto of Beethoven with soloist Hélène Grimaud.
In September there will also be the opportunity to experience The Philadelphia Orchestra. This exceptional representative of Pennsylvania, led by Charles Dutoit, has made it a point of honor to present, in Paris, his favorite repertoire combining works by Ravel and Berlioz.
"Last but not least," in October and February you will get a chance to hear the Cleveland Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic performing at Salle Pleyel.
