Amman selected as co-host of Universal Forum of Cultures
Amman has been selected as co-host of the Universal Forum of Cultures alongside the Québec City in Canada. The Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the Universal Forum of Cultures convened on October 3rd, 2010, in Barcelona to vote for the 2016 host – the result was that both Amman & Québec City would act together as co-hosts for the Forum.
The 'King Abdullah II House of Culture and Arts', our project in Amman, was one of the main elements presented in the Amman Portfolio alongside the historic cultural treasures of Amman. 'King Abdullah II House for Culture and Arts', designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and Artec is intended to become a prominent cultural and artistic landmark on the international stage.
