Ted's Projects Experience

Ted Pyper is a consultant with a background in engineering, acoustics, and music.

Mr. Pyper holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University. His studies and research emphasized acoustics, wireless communications, and signal processing. Mr. Pyper also received a minor in music as part of his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering.

Mr. Pyper joins Artec after working with Jaffe Holden Acoustics in Norwalk, Connecticut. While in the acoustics department at JHA, he worked on room acoustics, computer modeling, and mechanical noise analysis on several projects, including the New York Times Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall, the Gallo Performing Arts Center, and the Madison Theater in Santa Monica, California.

Ted Pyper is a member of the Acoustical Society of America and Tau Beta Pi. He has presented at the Acoustical Society of America and has guest lectured at Brigham Young University.

Mr. Pyper also remains active in performing groups. He has enjoyed conducting various church choirs. He has also performed in several choirs including BYU Men’s Chorus, Jazz Choir, and on occasion with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Mr. Pyper currently performs with the Manhattan Choral Ensemble; he recently performed with the choir on the soundtrack of the Paramount Pictures release The Manchurian Candidate.
