Knight Concert Hall, Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA

In October 2006, Miami opened one of the newest large performing arts centers in the world. It includes two state-of-the-art performance venues, an education center, an expansive outdoor plaza, and a historical landmark 1929 Art Deco tower. Knight Concert Hall and Ziff Ballet Opera House are the primary performance spaces, and are housed in separate buildings in the complex.

Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County is the Miami home for the Concert Association of Florida, Florida Grand Opera, New World Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra and Miami City Ballet, as well as being the premier venue for a wide array of local, national, and international performances. Visiting ensembles and shows range from Broadway musicals and classical artists to World and Urban music, Latin music shows, and popular entertainment from many cultures.

The Knight Concert Hall seats 2200 and is designed for world class acoustics for symphony orchestra, recitals, chamber music, chamber orchestra. It is designed to support a wide array of other performance types such as lightly amplified pop and jazz. To accommodate the wide range of intended uses, the room is equipped with adjustable acoustic systems, including a three piece individually adjustable acoustical canopy, acoustics curtains and banners, as well as an adjoining acoustics control chamber and chamber doors, which can be opened or closed to change the Hall's "acoustical environment.”
