Gaelic College Performance Centre is located on the campus of Gaelic College of Celtic Arts and Crafts. The campus is nestled in the hills overlooking beautiful St. Ann's Bay, the 350-acre property is steeped in the history of Scottish migration to this area.
The Performance Centre, built in 1978, is a unique open-air facility that offers a beautiful view from the hillside overlooking the bay. Bench type seating on the hillside provides seating for 450 people and a large grassy area surrounding it increases capacity for concerts to over 2000.
The Amphitheatre is able to support a large variety of performances including amplified song, dance, theater and spoken word. It is well equipped to provide sound and lighting for each of these performances. The stage structure also provides an excellent site for crafts sales, bazaars, outdoor conferences and similar events.
Artec provided Design and Planning services covering performance venue design for this open-air venue at the Gaelic College Performance Centre.
