Bailey Hall is the largest auditorium on the Cornell University campus. Originally built in 1912, Artec Consultants provided consulting services for its renovation, which was completed in 2006.
With seating for 1900 audience members, Bailey Hall serves as a well used scheduled classroom/lecture hall, as well as a performance space. Concerts by the Bailey Hall Classical Concert Series and Cornell Orchestra are often held here, as well as presentations by visiting speakers, dance, theater, and music groups.
Artec provided design and planning services covering Auditorium Acoustics Design, Specialized Performance Equipment Systems (sound & communication systems) design and Background Noise and Vibration Control consulting. Architect for this renovation project was Mitchell/Giurgola Architects LLP.
